ABLE - material concept

ABLE is a layered material that can be bent into the shape desired by the user.

 

Four different zones of flexibility are communicated through different sizes of hexagons. The smaller they get, the easier it is to move.

 

We have applied this technology to our chair proposal, but the possibilities for ABLE are endless!

This project was part of Process Design-course with the theme "On the move" in  Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd design school, where I studied in 2019.
